Meet our Sales Manager, June

Our friendly Sales Manager, June Ballantine, has been working with us for over a year. We chat to her to find out more about her and what she loves about her job at Scalesceugh Hall & Villas. What does your role involve? As Sales Manager, I am the main point of contact for all of our customers – meeting them and introducing them to our wonderful range of properties here at Scalesceugh Hall & Villas. I pride myself on being friendly, helpful and efficient; providing a professional and personal service to each of our customers. Once a customer has chosen to reserve one of our properties, I take them through the buying process - managing their customer journey and assisting with various aspects of their move from beginning to end. I build a strong relationship with the site team to ensure we deliver exceptional homes to our clients, tailored to their individual needs. Why did you decide upon this career path? I have always worked for companies and within industries which pride themselves on offering excellent customer service. I have worked in property for 15 years and most recently in retirement living with national homebuilders, McCarthy & Stone. My role as a Sales Executive allowed me to gain significant experience in working with customers, who for many, their move to a retirement property is an incredibly daunting and emotional experience. Taking a client through the journey in the retirement sector is very different to mainstream. The emotion attached to a move in later years can be huge and often compounded by illness or bereavement. Trust is a key factor for the potential buyer. Having a qualification in counselling has helped me to understand better the human emotions people at this stage can face, and enables me work with them through their concerns and fears as they start their journey to their new life. As well as having worked in property for many years, I have also previously worked for premium clothing retailer, Jaeger, offering a very personal and bespoke level of service. In addition, having owned a restaurant with my husband very early on in my career, I discovered my desire to provide the ultimate 'customer experience'. In both Jaeger and a bespoke estate agents, attention to detail and personal commitment to the client were in their DNA, so I have been able to hone these skills over the years. Throughout all of my positions over the years, I have, and continue to, take great pride delighting customers and seeing the impact a fantastic product or service can have on their lives. What do you enjoy about your job? It is a great feeling welcoming new residents to our community and watching them embark on the next chapter of their life – with many new found freedoms. I also feel very privileged to be part of the journey with AB Living, the developers of Scalesceugh Hall & Villas.
