The government has extended its ‘holiday’ on stamp duty in England meaning that no stamp duty needs to be paid on properties under £500,000 from now until the 30th June 2021.
The 'holiday' reduces stamp duty to zero on all our properties at Scalesceugh Hall & Villas - enabling you to save up to £5,725 on the purchase of a new home at our development. It’s the perfect time to buy if you're considering a move.
Then from 1 July 2021 to 30 September 2021, the nil rate band will reduced to £250,000, meaning that you can still benefit from zero stamp duty across the majority of our properties, whilst the remainder of our properties will still benefit from a reduced stamp duty rate.
The nil rate band will return to the standard amount of £125,000 on 1 October 2021.
