Every apartment within Scalesceugh Hall offers its own unique charm, with a beautiful array of styles, shapes and sizes to choose from.
In keeping with the hall’s traditional Edwardian design, apartments on the ground and first floor have been designed with elegant period style features, including cornicing and large sash windows, whilst those on the ground floor have the added benefit of high ceilings. Within a selection of the apartments you’ll also find a range of distinct design qualities, from original cast iron feature fireplaces to exposed sandstone archways, expansive bay windows and generous storage solutions.
On the top floor, the variety of apartments have been created in a contemporary style. Each offers a variety of clever window designs that flood generous natural light into the home, including skylights, rooflights and sun tunnels.

Located off the A6, only four minutes from the M6, Scalesceugh is situated between the vibrant market town of Penrith and the Border City of Carlisle – less than five miles away. There are also a variety of charming villages close by filled with cosy country pubs and friendly village shops, with some offering a delivery service to our development so our residents can shop safely and continue to have access to fresh local produce and household essentials.
Our Service Charge & Fees
Our aim at Scalesceugh is to enable our residents to enjoy a stress-free retirement. When you make the move to one of our apartments in Scalesceugh Hall, you can take advantage of a variety of services and benefits that are all included within a monthly service charge fee.
Our service charge ensure that all the costs of running our development are met. This includes ongoing costs such as maintaining the estate and grounds, cleaning communal areas and windows, buildings insurance, and a Services Manager, as well as fees associated with managing and operating of the residents' management company.
Additionally at some point in the future, expensive structural repairs or improvements will become necessary, for instance, resurfacing roadways and pathways.
To relieve our Scalesceugh Hall residents of these concerns, we need to collect two types of fee to ensure we have sufficient funds to cover all the ongoing costs of running the development and the expense of any major works required.
